Background and Research Interests
In my research at Penn, I investigated polarization responses in amino acid crystals, the mechanochemical functionalization of graphene, as well as the mechanisms and kinetics of free-radical polymerization using oxygen as a low cost initiator. I am excited to employ high-throughput DFT and ML models to my research interests in polymer sustainability so that we can better design plastics for degradation and more efficiently explore upcycling chemistries.
